Join us for the release of the 2011-2012 Economic Forecast report and the first-ever report about the economic ties between Japan and Los Angeles County.

For the Japan and Los Angeles County panel, LAEDC Chief Economist Dr. Nancy D. Sidhu of the Kyser Center for Economic Research will unveil the LAEDC’s second-in-a-series of key country reports which will focus on the important relationship between Japan and L.A. County. Highlighting the significant impact of Japanese companies on our region’s economy, this panel will feature presentations from select Japanese firms representing key L.A. County industry clusters.

Distinguished speakers and performers will continue our adventure with Scandinavian explorers of the 18th to 20th centuries – an appropriate topic for this centenary year of celebration of Roald Amundsen’s historic expedition to the South Pole. The public is invited to share the time-honored spirit of a symposium, blending music, dining and the free exchange of ideas to enhance the pleasure of learning.
