An event for DACC SoCal Business Members

Please join us for an evening with the CEO of Innovation Center Denmark in Silicon Valley, Søren Juul Jørgensen, who will talk about Danish startups and corporations in Silicon Valley. The event will take place on Thursday, June 1, from 6:00PM to 9:00PM in Santa Monica – dinner and refreshments served.

This personal and “by invitation only” event is exclusively for our DACC business members. The mission of Innovation Center Denmark is to build bridges between research institutions, companies and capital in Denmark and Silicon Valley; accelerate the entry of Danish companies into Silicon Valley; promote US investments in Denmark; and facilitate research cooperation and provide inspiration to help drive innovation in Denmark. Innovation Center Denmark is the result of the cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education.

Søren Juul Jørgensen has been the CEO of Innovation Center Denmark in Palo Alto since 2014. Søren has a background in the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and has had leave to work with business development and sales for Danish IT company Mærsk Data and IBM. Søren also worked in the Danish IT Industry Association, focusing on IT security and financial sector IT. Søren has worked with the energy sector as a Trade Council key account manager to Vestas Windsystems and as board member of Danish biogas company, Hedeselskabet. He has extensive experience with EU, policy and political issues and communication, not least generated when working as Danish press spokesperson and private secretary to the Minister for European Affairs as well as press spokesperson to the Permanent representation of Denmark to the European Union in Brussels. Søren is a lawyer by training and teaches law at the University of Copenhagen.
